To apply for undergraduate programme 41.03.05 “International relations”, you need to pass the following exams:

  • History;
  • Foreign language;
  • Russian language.

If you have Russian passport and permanent residence abroad, then you can apply through Rossotrudnichestvo and apply for a country quota.

Passing the Unified State Exam will be held as an internal exam at the university.

There is a network of lyceums and schools at NRNU MEPhI, which are united in the NRNU MEPhI Pre-University. Starting from the 8th grade, you can study in our lyceums, thereby increasing the possibility of entering NRNU MEPhI.

The NRNU MEPhI portal on youtube.com and the website of the NRNU MEPhI Network School host the relevant seminars and lectures.

The Institute of International Relations accepts winners and prize-winners of olympiads in history and the foreign language.

The place in the dormitory is provided; NRNU MEPhI has a modern campus, which includes apartment and corridor type dormitory.

In apartment-type dormitory, each apartment is equipped with the necessary furniture for study and leisure, a refrigerator and an electric cooker.

The apartments have a kitchen, bathroom, toilet, balcony. In the dormitories of the corridor type each floor is provided with a kitchen, showers, toilets, a room with washing machines. Tennis tables are installed on the first floors of the dormitory buildings. There is a gym, the buildings have Internet access. An automated fire system, security and video surveillance systems are functioning.

Payment for accommodation of students-state employees is determined by federal law. All residents can apply for the necessary registration.

The natural science block includes the study of physics, mathematics, chemistry during the first three semesters. It is an adapted version for the training of physical engineers as part of the MEPhI educational process.

From the first semester students of the institute study English, including such special subjects as scientific, technical, legal, business vocabulary and special linguistic training in nuclear technology.

Starting from the second year a second foreign language is mandatory - Chinese, Spanish, French or German.

It is possible with senior students if there is a sufficient number of applicants.

The Institute of International Relations provides annual internships at universities in the People's Republic of China to study the language.

Every year, our students participate at international conference schools in Montenegro and Slovakia in-person.
